Machine Learning & AI – Classification Modeling Defining Terms
  1. Level of measurement
    • Nominal – not meaningly ranked
    • Ordinal – meaningly ranked (high, medium, low)
    • Scale (continuous, interval, ratio)
  2. Binary (boolean) – categorical with 2 categories
    • Binary Classification – trying to build a predictive model with only 2 categories (ex. respond to email, do not respond to an email)
  3. Propensity Score – closest to 1 – high survival
