Machine Learning & AI – Classification Modeling Defining Terms

Note: I am currently studying this topic. I will continuously add as I go.

Level of measurement
- Nominal – not meaningly ranked
- Ordinal – meaningly ranked (high, medium, low)
- Scale (continuous, interval, ratio)
Binary (boolean) – categorical with 2 categories
- Binary Classification – trying to build a predictive model with only 2 categories (ex. respond to email, do not respond to an email)
Propensity Score – closest to 1 – high survival
